Are Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson still friends?
The answer to this question is yes given that Ashton Kutcher and his wife defended Masterson to the Judge and pleaded for leniency.
And oh boy! people are not happy about it, with many of them taking to Twitter – as also shown here– to express their shock and anger.
In fact, one Twitter user said it showed the kind of people Kutcher and Kunis were.
Wow, I guess we’ve learned today the types of people Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are. Glad to see that they told the judge in letters about rapist Danny Masterson’s “exceptional character” and being a “role model”. Fuck you both. pic.twitter.com/AKdE7UUp59

While another user slammed Kutcher for defending Masterson despite the fact that Kutcher advocated against child trafficking.

Ashton Kutcher wrote a positive pre-sentencing hearing letter for his convicted rapist friend Danny Masterson in an attempt to get him a light sentence.

Many other posts travelled along those trajectories as well, with some users calling Kutcher a hypocrite for defending Danny Masterson while slamming Will Smith for defending his wife.
Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis can both get in the bin, they’re fine with supporting Danny Masterson who has been sentenced to thirty years for r*pe but clutches pearls at Will Smith defending his wife Jada from Misogynoir and Ableism from Chris Rock, says a lot really.

Aston Kutcher’s letter of leniency to California Judge.
However, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are not the only people to come to Masterson’s defence though.
In fact, around 50 people all submitted written testimony about the character of Masterson.
Including former co-stars from the sitcom ‘That 70’s Show’, his wife and his in-laws.

But what did Kutcher say in the letter that incited such anger?
First, in Kutcher’s letter he spoke so highly of Masterson calling him a friend, role model and positive influence.
Lastly, Kutcher described his 25-year friendship with his co-star and saying that he “has always treated people with decency, equality and generosity.”
And concluded by telling the judge that he didn’t believe Masterson to be a threat to the public, but really?
“I do not believe he is an ongoing harm to society and having his daughter raised without a present father would [be] a tertiary injustice in and of itself. Thank you for taking the time to read this.”
