Although casting has been going on for a while, Kevin Feige and the company haven’t given any official information about the cast they are assembling for the film. However, there have been numerous rumours, and Mila Kunis’s name has come up frequently over the past few weeks.

The reliable insider claims that “Jewish actors, both male AND female, are being considered for The Thing in the Fantastic Four. One of them is Mila Kunis. The only reason they won’t reveal who they have for Sue is because she has already passed, so it isn’t final. I’m being very careful with this one.”

A female version of The Thing has actually been depicted in comic books; however, Sharon Ventura, alias Ms. Marvel, and not Ben Grimm, appeared in those issues.

The film will be directed by Matt Shakman, and Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer are currently writing the script. Although Kevin Feige has stated that this will not be another origin story for the super team, plot details are still unknown.

“A lot of people know this origin story. A lot of people know the basics. How do we take that and bring something that they’ve never seen before?” He compared this fresh approach to the characters to the agreement Marvel Studios made with Sony to include Spider-Man in the MCU in a 2022 interview. “We’ve set a very high bar for ourselves with bringing that to the screen.”
