A Blizzard hits Buffalo. The Bills Put on a Show in the Snow, defeating the 49ers 35-10.

December 2, 2024- Josh Allen made his MVP case last night after torching the 49ers during Sunday Night Football. The star quarterback made history in the snow.

Allen has become the first player in NFL history to throw, catch, and run a touchdown in a single game.

The Bills have clinched the AFC East title for a fifth time and trail behind only the Chiefs at the No. 2 seed in the AFC.

Bills Dominate 49ers

The Bills had the ‘Niners in a chokehold throughout the entire game. Holding opposing quarterback Brock Purdy to just 94 passing yards. It was clear from the jump that the ‘Niners aren’t built for snow football.

The Bills on the other hand, thrived. Every player seemed sure-footed and running-backs Ray Davis and James Cook each had big games. Cook broke free for a 65-yard touchdown and Davis had some powerful runs along with a 5-yard touchdown.

However, the real star of the show was Josh Allen. Late in the third quarter, Josh Allen completed a pass to wide-receiver Amari Cooper. Cooper gets bottled up at the line of scrimmage, which is when he laterals the ball to a streaking Josh Allen who dives and crosses the pylon for a touchdown. This is technically scored as a pass from Josh Allen completed to Josh Allen for a touchdown. Making it one of the craziest stats in a football game ever.

He is the 4th player in NFL history to catch a ball thrown by himself for a touchdown.

49ers Downfall

Things took a downward turn for the Niners in the first quarter. Their star running-back Christian McCaffrey had to leave the game with a non-contact injury. Head coach Kyle Shanahan believes that McCaffrey now has suffered a potentially season-ending knee injury. A major blow to the Niners offense.

McCaffrey has been dealing with tendonitis in both of his achilles for the entire season and had only returned to the field a few weeks ago.

Injuries weren’t the only problem. Quarterback Brock Purdy struggled in the snow. Although he completed 11/18 passes, the Niners struggled to move the ball in the snow. Whether on ground or through the air. The Bills capitalized on this weakness, bringing the pressure on each and every snap.

Bills vs. 49ers Recap

The Niners have been plagued by injuries all season and it seems that their play-off chances are dwindling. They now sit at 5-7 and their Superbowl window is closing with many contract years coming up for their star-studded roster.

The Bills, however, are going to make a significant playoff push and the team will be hoping to secure a ring for the potential MVP Josh Allen.
