The Buffalo Bills Sour the Chiefs Perfect Season with a Clutch Performance from Josh Allen.

November 19, 2024- The Chiefs have finally lost. The Bills have become the first team to beat the Chiefs since Christmas 2023. It may be December, but it seems Christmas has come early.

The Chiefs have held NFL franchises in a chokehold for over a year, winning most of their games by one score on the final drive. However, the Bills have finally broken that streak.

Bills Player Stats

Bills quarterback Josh Allen got it done yesterday. Throwing 27 balls for 262 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. He also ran in a 27-yard touchdown to secure a win late in the 4th.

The Bills continued their season-long mantra of spreading the ball around. This team does not have star receivers. Everyone plays, and everyone gets touches.

Amari Cooper- 2 catches for 55 yards.

Curtis Samuel- 5 catches for 58 yards and a touchdown.

Khalil Shakir- 8 catches for 70 yards.

Dawson Knox- 4 catches for 40 yards.

This season, the Bills have shown us that when you have a quarterback who plays on the level that Josh Allen does, you can take mid-level receivers and consistently win games. Running back James Cook ran 9 times for 20 yards and still got into the endzone twice. The pieces are here for this team, and a playoff run is definitely in the making.

Chiefs Player Stats

The Chiefs were bound to lose one of these close games. Mahomes has not been playing like he usually does this season. He is currently tied for most interceptions (11) this season. He threw two of those against the Bills yesterday.

Mahomes completed 23/33 balls for 196 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions.

Xavier Worthy and Tight End Noah Gray were the highlights of the offense. Worthy, the rookie, caught 4 balls for 61 yards and a touchdown. Noah Gray would get in for 2 touchdowns while also hauling in 4 balls for 23 yards.

Bills vs. Chiefs Recap

Following this game, Josh Allen has tied the Bills record for total touchdowns (2444) while also moving into second place for most rushing touchdowns, with his 58th score coming late in the 4th.

The Bills are also the only team with four wins over Patrick Mahomes. Whether this will translate to the playoffs remains to be seen. Still, Buffalo fans are definitely excited for the post-season.

The Chiefs are now 9-1, and their hopes of a perfect season tarnished. However, they remain the top team in the AFC and are the second favorite to win the Superbowl, behind the Detroit Lions.
