Charli XCX New Album ‘Brat’ Release Criticism Alleged

The British singer has recently shared that her sixth studio album ‘Brat’ is set to release on June 7, 2024. Her last album was ‘Crash’ in 2022.

This upcoming album is said to have an electronic pop sound and is produced by Gesaffelstein.

In a new cover story interview with Vogue Singapore, Charli XCX responded to fan criticism of the cover artwork for her upcoming record, Brat. The cover art is bright green with ‘Brat’ written in the middle, simple.

“They were like, ‘Why isn’t she going to be on the cover? She needs to be on the cover,'” Charli stated a fan response that she received on social media. “Why should anyone have that level of ownership over female artists?” (also noted here).

Charli took to X to defend her, and other female artists’ art.

Brat 2024 Arena Tour

Charli posted on her Instagram today that she will be holding an arena tour in the UK. She will be performing in Manchester, London, Birmingham and Glasgow.
