Tom Hank’s has made an appearance in his son’s latest music video. Part of the country band Something Out West, Chet Hanks has recreated an iconic scene from “Forrest Gump.”

Recently, Tom Hanks appeared in ”Here.” This ambitious project follows the same group of people over a period of time, shot in one single take. Director Robert Zemeckis obviously chose Hanks because of his history of giving emotional and believable performances. Specifically, Hank’s role as Forrest Gump comes to mind.

Tom’s son Chet is a musician with range. For instance, Chet previously performed rap music under the stage name Chet Haze. However, he now performs alongside Drew Arthur in their country group, Something Out West. The duo started gaining attention when they released “Leaving Hollywood.” The song was popular enough that country fans were excited for new music from them. However, their latest single, “You Better Run,” and the accompanying music video, pay homage to Chet’s father’s career.

The lyrics and title are an obvious homage to the famous line Run Forrest run.”

“You better run like the devil’s on your tail / Like you broke out of jail / Like a big storm’s coming,” Chet sings. “Run like a wild mustang / Like a bullet train / Let me tell you something.”

Moreover, the music video is a clear homage to the film, with Chet sitting in a park with a box of chocolates. Tom appears halfway through the video’s runtime. The famous actor appears to be out of character. However, he also appears to be having fun in his small role.
