How I Met Your Mother stars Cobie and Jason have reunited on the set of Shrinking.

December 13, 2024- As outlined in Screen Rant, the two actors starred in a recent episode of the Apple TV+ sitcom. The sitcom also stars other iconic actors such a Harrison Ford and Bill Lawrence. Segel’s character is Jimmy Laired, a widower and therapist. Meanwhile,  Smulder plays Sofi, a single mother selling her car. The two characters immediately share a connection as Laired wants to buy the car. This is because it resembles his late wife’s car. The single father wants to buy the yellow vehicle for his daughter’s 18th.

How I Met Your Mother Cast

The two actors previously played Robin and Marshall on the hit sitcom How I Met Your Mother; as outlined in Screen Rant, the two characters share a platonic but friendly relationship. However, Smulder has expressed gratitude for being able to experience a different type of dynamic with her co-star.

The actress stated to the Hollywood reporter, ”I think so. I love playing with Jason. I was able to do so for nine years, which is insane these days, so it just sort of felt like very normal, natural. And again, the show’s so well written that the character was already kind of there, even before we got into the actual work of it, and Jason is obviously like such a talented actor as well as a wonderful human being.”

In addition, the actress expresses her enthusiasm for her character to return the following season as a love interest for Segel’s character.
