Following criticism from fans over his supposed silence after the “Quiet on Set” docuseries, Josh Peck released a statement on social media saying that he’d privately reached out to fellow actor Drake Bell. Peck posted a TikTok that some believed referred to Bell.
In the statement, Peck, 37, explained that he’d previously reached out to Bell, 37, privately, and expressed his support for other survivors who shared their stories in the docuseries.
“Children should be protected,” Peck said in the statement.
The statement comes after Bell posted a video on his TikTok, explaining that Josh had reached out to him, “[h]e has reached out to talk with me and help me work through this,” Bell also told followers to “take it a little easy on him,”
Quiet on Set Documentary Dan Schneider
As HOLR previously reported, an Investigation Discovery docuseries titled “Quiet on Set” detailed Dan Schneider’s tenure as producer at Nickelodeon. Schneider is known for creating some of the most popular TV shows on the network including Drake and Josh, The Amanda Show, and Victorious.
The series features interviews with former child actors and writers who give disturbing details about Nickelodeon’s working environment at the time, including s*xual harassment, racism, and body shaming.
Arguably, some of the most notable accusations revolve around Brian Peck (no relation to Josh Peck), a dialogue coach who was convicted in 2004 of sexually abusing a minor. The docuseries reveals that Drake Bell, star of the hit show Drake and Josh, was the victim of Peck.

Speaking in public for the first time about the abuse, Bell details the disturbing allegations against Peck.
Bell revealed that, while sleeping at Peck’s house one night, the then 15-year-old “woke up and he was sexually assaulting me,”
Peck was arrested on 11 charges, including sodomy, convicted, and required to register as a s*x offender.
