35-year-old actress Emma Stone talks fears over her new movie ‘Poor Things.’

During an exclusive talk with Entertainment Tonight this week, Stone revealed she feared she wouldn’t be able to live up to the character.
Stone emphasised that she never had reservations about playing this character but that she was somewhat intimidated.
“I definitely didn’t have reservations,” the actress told ET correspondent Rachel Smith.
“If anything, I just had fear of not living up to how great this character is. She doesn’t follow. She’s never been taught by society what to be — what she’s supposed to be as a woman.”

What is Poor Things movie about?
According to the film’s synopsis, ‘Poor Things’ tells the story of a young Victorian woman named Bella Baxter who was brought back to life by an unorthodox scientist named Godwin Baxter.
It follows as Bella as she goes on an adventure free from the prejudices of the Victorian era and instead embraces the stand for equality and liberation for modern women.

Stone also explained a little more the kind of character Bella Baxter is in the film.
“She’s a creature of her own making,” Stone explained.
“I think she’s so inspiring to me just because she has such a hunger for life and experiences.”
“She feels so happy to be alive, which is a great reminder — we’re not here for long,” she continued.
“And she really takes it all in and drinks up everything, even the hard things. It’s all part of the human experience, it’s all fascinating to her so I think that’s the most inspiring thing that I try to remember, as much as I possibly can.”

Meanwhile, Stone also explained that this film had been years in the making and that she and Yorgos Lanthimos had been working on it since their last film ‘The Favourite.’
Describing the process as “pure heaven.”
In fact, the young actress said of the film and her director,
“I just love this film so deeply,” she gushed.
“I’m just so proud of him [and] what he was able to achieve with this. It was really, really incredible what he did. So, that’s the coolest thing to me.”
