A terrifying video shows the moment 2 keepers were stuck inside of a Gorilla enclosure at Forth Worth Zoo.

According to this TikTok video posted by user @ben306069, the terrifying moment 2 keepers were stuck inside of a Gorilla enclosure with Elmo, a male Silverback, was caught on camera.

In the clip, you can see the Gorilla charge across the screen as one keeper makes a run for the door, and the Gorilla knocks over a bucket of something in the process. The keeper stands by the door as the Gorilla stares her down. Worried onlookers, who are watching the event unfold behind glass, can see that there is another keeper inside of the enclosure still. “God help her,” a woman can be heard saying behind the camera as the Gorilla wanders around the enclosure, eventually standing by a window.

The other keeper can be seen standing frozen as they wait to see what the Gorilla does next. Following this harrowing staredown featuring the Gorilla and the keepers, Elmo eventually darts off in another direction which gives the keeper time to run toward the door, closing it shut behind them.

It is unclear how this distressing situation came about as Fort Worth Zoo has not commented publically on the situation yet, as also noted in this related article, here. People had a lot to say in the comment section of the above video, which has since garnered around 12 million views and counting since its release.

It remains unclear what happened exactly but some people believe the Gorilla was accidently let back in before the keepers could finish their duties. Others think that the lock may have broken.

Both keepers seemed to have escaped the potentially dangerous situation unharmed.
