Rihanna exits as Savage X Fenty CEO

Rihanna will be stepping down as the CEO of Savage X Fenty. In her place, former CEO of Anthropologie Group, Hillary Super will lead the lingerie company as CEO effective June 26. Super has previously worked in leadership position at Old Navy, American Eagle, Guess and Gap. Hillary Super will be joining Savage X Fenty as the brand looks to move beyond e-commerce and into brick-and-mortar stores while also launching wholesale.

Rihanna tells Vogue, “I’m so grateful and excited to welcome Hillary Super as our new CEO — she is a strong leader and is focused on taking the business to an even higher level.” Rihanna will move positions within Savage X Fenty as a executive chairman. She started the Lingerie company in 2018 and since then it has quickly grown reaching the brand valuing at $1 billion in 2021. Fenty has established seven locations since last year, including ones in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Houston, and Las Vegas.

The “Umbrella” artist has a lot going on in her life as she is expecting her second child and will be releasing her highly-anticipated ninth studio album. The Fenty Beauty CEO tells Vogue, “I want it to be this year. Like, honestly, it’d be ridiculous if it’s not this year. But I just want to have fun. I just want to make music and make videos.”
