Golden Earring ‘Twilight Zone’ Rock Band Giving Farewell Concert
January 25, 2025 – The Rock Band Golden Earring, best known for ‘Twilight Zone’ and ‘Radar Love’, is giving its farewell concert in the Netherlands in 2026.
After four years, the retired Dutch rock band, Golden Earring, announced they will return to perform their farewell concert on January 30th, 2026. The Golden Earring officially retired and disbanded in 2021 after guitarist George Kooymans revealed he was suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). However, the band members always felt unfulfilled.
Lead vocalist Barry Hay told OOR that the band never got to finish their music careers like they would have wanted to due to their friend’s disease. Due to this, they began thinking of a way to give their final concert: ‘One Last Night’.
Tickets Raise Money For ALS Research
ALS is an illness close to the hearts of the Golden Earring members. Due to this, they have pledged to donate €5 for each ticket sold for their farewell concert. Barry Hay, Cesar Zuiderwijk and Rinus Gerritsen will perform ‘One Last Night’ with other bands, honoring their guitarist George Kooymans.
Golden Earring Farewell Concert Sold Out 5 Times!

Now, instead of performing only on the 30th, the band will perform from the 26th to the 30th of January, 2026, in Ahoy, the Netherlands.
Golden Earring has announced that this will be their final concert, and it definitely looks to be a spectacular ‘One Last Night.’
