It’s true- the voice of Lady Whitsledown, who is Bridgerton’s narrator and the pseudonym of Penelope Featherington, is voiced by the iconic Julie Andrews. At 85 years old, Andrews narrates the voice of one of Netflix’s most popular shows at the moment.

Lady Whistledown is the pseudonym of Nicola Coughlan’s character, Penelope Featherington. As a result, Lady Whistledown is the anonymous gossip columnist and writer of a social pamphlet, as noted here.

In a TikTok video posted by user @imdb, castmates Coughlan and Lule Newton- who plays Colin Bridgerton- guess which of their Bridgerton co-stars have starred in a movie about “Genovia.” Coughlan gets the answer right by naming Julie Andrews, who stars in The Princess Diaries alongside Anne Hathaway.

Bridgerton has gained a lot of hype online after the first part of Season 3 dropped- leaving the audience with a steamy carriage scene featuring Colin and Penelope.  Season 3 Part 2 is set to drop on the streaming platform on June 13- only a few short weeks away!
