Bridgerton Season 3

After waiting over one year since Penelope Featherington’s story was left on a cliff-hanger, we finally have our first look at season three of ‘Bridgerton’! Over the weekend Netflix hosted its fan event, Tudum, in Brazil. During the event Netflix released some screenshots of the upcoming season giving us a sneak peek at what the Bridgerton family and friends have ahead. Each season of ‘Bridgerton’ centers around a single Bridgerton sibling. Season one was Daphne’s, season two was Anthony’s and season three will focus on Colin’s love story with Lady Whistledown herself, Penelope Feathering. Even though Shonda Rhimes has decided to skip over book three (Benedict’s story) in the ‘Bridgerton’ series, fans are more than happy to jump into the friends-to-lovers storyline of the fourth book as Penelope Featherington has become a fan favorite.

Penelope is finally having her time in the spotlight! In the photos released she is out of her family’s signature color, yellow, and in ‘Bridgerton blue’. When asked about the upcoming season actress Nicola Coughlan, who plays Penelope, revealed that while season one was about passion and season two about longing, season three is all about romance. She said ” It’s just so romantic like there was a lot of moments on set where we’d film something and we’d turn around and everyone would be sort of clutching their chest being like ‘oh my God, that kind of love!’ It’s really special and it stays very true to the books.” It’s exciting to hear this since season two definitely took liberties with source material and there are so many iconic scenes in Penelope and Colin’s book ‘Romancing Mr. Bridgerton’. Right now there is no release date for the new season. Hopefully, it will come sooner than later.
