James McAvoy admitted his first meeting with Jennifer Aniston was anything but smooth – here’s what went down!
September 13, 2024- Actor James McAvoy recently revealed that the first time he ever met Jennifer Anniston was “rough.”

McAvoy, 45, recently went on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” and detailed his first encounter with the “Friends” star.
“I was at a party when I was really young, I was like 22 in LA, and I met Lucy Liu,” McAvoy said.
“Lucy was really, really nice to me, and she was like ‘Come meet my friends.’ There was a big circle of her friends, and one of her friends happen to be Jennifer Aniston,” McAvoy continued.
“And I parked right beside Jennifer Anniston and just as she was like ‘Hey guys meet my new friend James,’ instead of saying that she got pulled aside by a guy she went to high school with,” McAvoy said.

“And she was like ‘Oh my God,’ and she went away and left me standing with all these people. I was like ‘Hey I’m new in town, so you’re Jennifer Aniston and all of her friends,” McAvoy continued.
McAvoy than impersonates his shy and awkward turn away from Aniston and her friends to Cohen.
“It was like that. It was rough, but she was lovely,” McAvoy said while smiling.

“The thing I thought I could exploit in the character was, he thinks he’s a bit of a West Country Andrew Tate,” McAvoy told EMPIRE.
The film’s storyline follows an American family who spend a weekend at a British family’s country estate, in which the hosts behaviour changes and the holiday turns into a nightmare.
