Beauty Gru Jeffree Star Calls Out Mikayla Nogueira Over Fake Eyelashes
Jeffree Star climbs out of retirement to give TikTok influencer, Mikayla Nogueira some grief over false advertising.
This all circles back to when Mikayla posted a mascara review on TikTok for the L’Oréal Paris Telescopic mascara. According to Mikayla, this mascara made her eyelashes look like false eyelashes.

At the end of the TikTok video, she claims, “I’m not sure anyone’s ever going to compete with this mascara.” In the caption of the video, viewers noticed the hashtag, #LorealParisPartner. Fans started to raise some eyebrows and did not hold back in the comments.

After an overwhelming amount of hate comments under the video, Mikayla addressed the concerns in the comments.
After one viewer blatantly asked if she was wearing false eyelashes, she responded, “Nooo, just three/four coats and my tight liner.”
Jeffree Star Invades The Scene
If there is one thing about Jeffree Star, he is going to tell you what it is. After the commotion on TikTok, Jeffree Star hopped online to investigate for himself. Jeffree Star is no stranger to the internet, he has spent years creating Youtube videos about makeup reviews/tutorials and even has his own cosmetics brand called, ‘Jeffree Star Cosmetics.’
A few days ago, Star teased the new video on Twitter.

It did not take long for fans to put two and two together, automatically the internet sided with Jeffree in the replies. The next day, a picture of the mascara was posted,

In his most recent TikTok, he had purchased the same mascara used in Mikayla’s product review and was not shy to call her out in the first few seconds.

Throughout the video, it is clear that he is intentionally throwing shade at the TikTok star by quoting her video, “Allegedely the telescopic lift L’Oreal mascara is the best mascara in the world and no brand may ever be able to compete with it.”

Star calls out Mikayla by name saying, “Miss Mikayla reviewed it, the internet blew the f**k up and a lot of people think that she’s wearing a false lash at the end of her eye.” The beauty mogul goes into depth about how as a makeup artist for many years, couldn’t be paid a million dollars to say the product was good. Before going into the review, the artist says, “Mikayla, you set the tone now. I used to set the tone on Youtube. When I said something did not work, the f**king internet knew, I was telling the truth.”
As the review carry out, it’s safe to say the mascara did not reach expectations.
Jeffree finishes off the video with one last statement to his audience, “you guys are allowed to like whoever you want, respect whoever you want, watch whoever you want but be careful. Do not be influenced so easily by people.” Star says, “A lot of these people are accepting money, they have things to pay for, they got a life to live. It makes me very uncomfortable, the beauty space has changed immensely.”
