Jimmy Buffett cancels South Carolina show

The legendary singer and songwriter Jimmy Buffett annouced to fans Thursday of  “a sudden change of plans this week”. Buffett was scheduled to perform with the Coral Reefer Band on Saturday, May 20th at Charleston’s Credit One Stadium. His health took a turn when he made a stop in Boston for a check-up after his trip to the Bahamas. Jimmy Buffett ended up needing immediate attention for his health issues and was admitted back to the hospital. Buffett has expressed to fans that once he has made a full recovery he will be back on stage.

Jimmy Buffett makes a joke of the situation as he posts on Facebook saying, “Growing old is not for sissies, I promise you. I also will promise you, that when I am well enough to perform, that is what I’ll be doing in the land of She-Crab soup.”

Why is Jimmy Buffett not touring in 2023?

The Margaritaville” singer  did not go into detail about his health issues and has cleared the rest of his touring schedule.

“Just remember, ‘NOT YET!'” Although things aren’t looking too well for Jimmy Buffett, he assures fans that purchased tickets will be set out for a new date. Buffett was previously hospitalized for health issues back in September 2022, which caused him to make another cancellation that affected his five remaining shows.
