The Kelly Clarkson Show Behind the Scenes

According to this Rolling Stone article, several current and former employees claimed that The Kelly Clarkson Show is a “toxic” environment. The report was published earlier this week and it was addressed by the show host, Kelly Clarkson, in a recent post on her Instagram account.
On Friday, Clarkson addressed the allegations about the working conditions some employees claimed to have experienced, as reported by Rolling Stone.
The Kelly Clarkson Show is ”toxic”
1 current and 10 former staffers opened up about their experiences working for the show. According to their statements, the employees had been “overworked” and “underpaid”. “I remember going up on the roof of the stage to cry, being like, ‘Oh, my gosh, what am I doing? Why am I putting myself through this?’” one person said, as noted here. However, he complaints were mainly directed towards the show’s executive producer. The same employees had a positive experience working with Kelly Clarkson, calling the show host a “fantastic” person. “Kelly has no clue how unhappy her staff is,” a former employee said.
NBCUniversal addressed the claims in a statement to Us Weekly. “We are committed to a safe and respectful work environment and take workplace complaints very seriously and to insinuate otherwise is untrue,” the statement read. “When issues are reported they are promptly reviewed, investigated and acted upon as appropriate. The Kelly Clarkson Show strives to build a safe, respectful and equitable workplace that nurtures a culture of inclusivity and creativity.”

Shortly after the allegations were made public, Kelly Clarkson addressed them online.
“In my 20 years in the entertainment industry, I’ve always led with my heart and what I believed to be right. I love my team at The Kelly Clarkson Show, and to find out that anyone is feeling unheard and or disrespected on this show is unacceptable.” Clarkson wrote in the post.
