What is Ken Todd known for?
The 78-year-old renowned Restaurateur Ken Todd has 30 years of experience in the industry. He made his millions by owning and managing the top bars and restaurants in London and Los Angeles. He is married to Real Housewives of Beverley Hills star Lisa Vanderpump. Todd and Vanderpump were married in August of 1982 and share two children Pandora and Max.
However, after reportedly surrendering the property on July 13, Todd was supposed to turn over the liquor license to the new renters. The owners of 8948 Santa Monica Blvd are said that “We are aggressively pursuing damages, and he will be held fully liable.” The landlords of the property that was once home to ‘Pump‘ are suing the 78-year-old for allegedly breaching his rental contract. They are reportedly set to sue for $950,000 in damages for a breach of contract and for failing to transfer the liquor license and for the market value of the fixtures.

Todd Hits Back at Pump Landlord.

In an interview with People, Todd disputed the allegations. He is claiming that “When we took over the place known as Pump 10 years ago,” “it was an empty car park.” He says that the claims from the landlord regarding damages is false. In regard to the stolen fixtures, “we lovingly took the antiques out, which are now in our possession as they are also ours”, Todd told People.
He is also claiming that the “The liquor license we have traded under for the last 10 years also belongs to us. We are happy to sell it to them at the fair market value.”
“As for the back rent of one-and-a-half months, the accountants on both sides agreed and signed off. The landlord needs to return our rent deposit, as the property is in much better shape now than when we found it”, Todd went on to say.
However, “This aggressive behaviour by the landlord will not be tolerated,” Todd warns.
