Lisa Vanderpump discussed the upcoming “Vanderpump Rules” reunion, denying accusations of defending Tom Sandoval amidst a scandal involving his split from Ariana Madix and affair with Rachel “Raquel” Leviss. She emphasized that while she doesn’t condone Sandoval’s actions, she also doesn’t believe he’s a bad person, acknowledging his struggles with public backlash and mental health issues. Lisa expressed support for Ariana and the importance of facilitating understanding among the cast.

In an exclusive interview, Lisa mentioned, “If I was defending him, I’d be saying what he did was OK. What he did was not OK.” She highlighted the challenges Sandoval faced after the scandal broke, including battling thoughts of suicide and feeling attacked by his castmates. Sandoval himself opened up about his mental health struggles, expressing frustration at not feeling heard or supported by his friends.

Lisa, who lost her brother to suicide, urged Scheana Shay and Lala Kent to show compassion towards Sandoval, leading to efforts by the cast to interact more positively with him on screen. The upcoming “Vanderpump Rules” reunion, filmed in March, promises emotional moments, with Lisa teasing, “It starts a little slow and it kind of builds… Then it ends up with us all in tears.” Season 11 of the show airs on Bravo and is available for streaming on Peacock.
