Professor Tim Coulson, an expert in evolution at Oxford University, has claimed that the Loch Ness Monster and Bigfoot are “pure fantasy”.
A Scientist’s Verdict on Legendary Creatures
Oxford University boffin Professor Tim Coulson has told millions hunting the legendary beasts to “get another hobby” as their existence is extremely unlikely.
Professor Coulson – an expert in evolution – said: “I would dearly love for Bigfoot, Yeti, the Loch Ness Monster and other cryptids (wild animals whose existence is yet to be proved by science) to exist, but scientific evidence says otherwise.
“The likelihood of such beasts living undetected in forests, mountains and lakes, in great numbers, for thousands of years without leaving a single fossil, bone fragment or skin sample is hard to swallow.”
The scientist has dubbed the famous creatures as “fun figments of our imagination”.
However, he claims that it is “much too early” to “rule out the existence of aliens”.
