The Giants Own Players are Critical of the Franchise Following Blowout loss to Buccaneers.

November 25th, 2024- Following the beat down the Giants took at home yesterday many of the players including stars Malik Nabers and Dexter Lawrence were critical of decisions being made.

Malik Nabers didn’t see a single target in the first half of the matchup versus the Buccaneers. He started getting his first looks only after the team was down 30 points and realized that they simply cant do anything on offense.

Head coach Brian Daboll would respond to these comments in a post-game-presser. Stating that he “needs to do a better job of getting the ball in his hands earlier.

The Giants are not a good football team. There is really no other way to put it. The league knows it, the fans know it, and the players themselves know it.

Nabers also touched on the quarterback issue during his post game interview stating, “It ain’t the quarterback. Same outcome when we had DJ at quarterback. It ain’t the quarterback,” Nabers is referring to Daniel Jones, the starting quarterback who was cut earlier in the week.

The quarterback situation in New York has been a topic of controversy and a lot of the Giants issues had been put on to Daniel Jones. In the matter of a week, Jones went from leading the team on Sundays to taking reps as a red shirt at safety. He would later ask to be released from the team prior to Sundays matchup.

Giants Players Frustrated

It wasn’t only Nabers who called out the Giants following the loss. The star D-lineman Dexter Lawrence had some harsh words for the team as well, “We played soft. They beat the s*** out of us today.” He said during his post-game interview.

There is a lot of animosity towards the staff of the giants right now. And it seems that Dabolls’ job is seemingly hanging by a thread after this beat down.

When asked if he believed that there was an issue with the play calling Malik Nabers said, “I don’t know.” This is a tamed response despite the obvious frustration. But it seems that Daboll is close to losing the locker room and if they don’t get a win soon he may not return for another season in New York.

The G-men go on to face the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving. Both teams are without a starting quarterback as Dak Prescott has been ruled out for the rest of the season and Jones being cut.

The Cowboys are another struggling franchise this year and with the two rivals facing off with very little production on the season it will be a tough game to watch.

Will the Giants turn their year around against a struggling Cowboys team? Probably not. But regardless, the meeting of two rivals always makes for entertaining football.
