The supermodel introduced her baby girl to the world on Monday with a photoshoot for the March issue of Vogue. Campbell, who has remained quiet on the subject of her daughter, spoke of being a new mom at 50 and redefining motherhood.

She told Vogue, “I always knew that one day I would be a mother, but it’s the biggest joy I could ever imagine. I’m lucky to have her and I know that.” She went on to say that she is encouraging her older friends to have babies, “I’m telling them all, do it! Don’t hesitate!”

Campbell, 51, first revealed that she had become a mother in May 2021 on Instagram. Accompanying the photo of the model cradling her daughter’s tiny feet read the caption, “A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother. So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you, my angel. There is no greater love.”

Campbell has yet to reveal her daughter’s name and intends to keep the details of her daughters arrival for her tell-all book but offered, “she wasn’t adopted – she’s my child”.

Campbell, who proves that you can be a supermodel at any age, hasn’t slowed down and doesn’t plan to. “[Nelson] Mandela said something to me once that has always stayed with me. He said, ‘We will sleep when we’re gone’ and while I have breath and energy I will do the work.”

In fact, not even motherhood has slowed her down. The Jetsetter revealed that she brings her daughter everywhere with her and will continue to do so until her daughter inevitably begins school.
