Nicole Kidman delved into her experience with kinks and intense sex scenes for her upcoming erotic thriller, “Babygirl.”

In Los Angeles on October 18th, Kidman had a candid conversation with her fans during a Q&A session alongside the film’s director Halina Reijn and Kidman’s co-star Harris Dickinson.
Reflecting on the intense scenes, especially those involving kink, Kidman shared that “an enormous amount of trust” was crucial between her and co-star Harris Dickinson.
“We would look at each other and go, ‘okay,'” Kidman said.
Dickinson, who plays her intern, admitted he sometimes felt anxious about certain scenes.
“Of course there were days where I would go in really terrified of a scene or I don’t know how I’m going to do this,” Dickinson revealed.
But he emphasized that the cast and crew prioritized comfort over time.
“If we weren’t comfortable or getting something, we never felt that time was more important,” Dickinson continued.

Kidman praised director Halina Reijn for ensuring a safe and respectful environment, which allowed her to fully commit to her role.
“I’ve always been on a quest as an actor… and this was an area I’d never been,” Kidman said.
“I didn’t feel exploited. I felt very much a part of it. It’s the story that I wanted to be a part of,” Kidman continued.
“Babygirl”, set for release on December 25, places a woman in a position of power, which Kidman described as “liberating.”
Kidman explained, “There’s a sort of jump off the cliff thing where you go, okay, I’m just going to abandon everything and explore this with the people that I trust.”

However, Kidman, 57, found the role to be emotionally demanding.

“At some point I was like, I don’t want to be touched. I don’t want to do this anymore, but at the same time I was compelled to do it,” she said.
“Halina would hold me and I would hold her, because it was just very confronting to me,” Kidman continued.
