New Faces On The Boys Season 3

Your favourite vigilantes and superheroes are back! This coming June 3rd, The Boys is back for another round of mind-boggling and uber gratuitous violent season! After the literally mind-blowing season two finale, the series will pick up where they left off. The surviving members of both teams will return along with some new faces including the Supernatural actor, Jensen Ackles who will join the cast as Soldier Boy—described as the very first superhero, “Homelander before Homelander.” Laurie Holden, Sean Patrick Flanery, Miles Gaston Villanueva, and Nick Wechsler will also join the ensemble as Crimson Countess, Gunpowder, Supersonic and Blue Hawk respectively.

The Boys is based on The New York Times best-selling comics created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson (who also act as executive producers of the show).  The Boys show what happens if superheroes abuse their powers, start to succumb to corruption and get entangled with corporate America. The series circles a group of superheroes called The Seven and the multibillion-dollar conglomerate Vought International. The Boys is the vigilante group who fights against the bad superheroes and it is led by Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) who has it out for Homelander (The Seven’s leader played by Antony Starr) and wants to avenge his wife. 

Season Three Teaser Trailer

The last two seasons witnessed big twists and turns that lead to a shocking season two finale. The series’ panel revealed the new trailer at South by Southwest (SXSW). It shows a darker (and bloodier) season three and it reveals some diabolical moments that hint at a darker path for some characters. The trailer is set to the song “Bones” by Imagine Dragons from their upcoming album Mercury – Act 2.

The Boys stars Karl Urban, Antony Starr, Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Dominic McElligot, Jessie T Usher, Las Alonso, and Chase Crawford will reprise their roles.

The series was developed by the showrunner, Eric Kripke and it is produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television Studios, with Kripke Enterprises, Original Film, and Point Grey Pictures. New episodes will premiere exclusively on Prime Video. on Friday, June 3rd.
