Cult favourite sustainable fashion label Reformation is hosting a special vintage popup this weekend at their only Canadian location — in Yorkdale mall. In line with their eco-friendly efforts, Reformation is helping to breathe new life into a carefully curated vintage collection. While Ref has launched Vintage collections online — which typically sell out in as quickly as 24 hours — this time you’ll have a chance to try the one-of-a-kind pieces in store. The special trunk show will be running this weekend from November 15th-17th.
As one of the sustainable leaders in fashion, Reformation is standing by their ethos of helping to reduce their eco-footprint. With 85% of clothing that’s tossed by consumers ending up in landfills, Reformation has comitted to reusing and recycling at least 100,000 garments in 2019. The brand has supported these goals by launching a number of initiatives.
From buying vintage pieces to curate into an online collection to working with other designers to buy “deadstock” fabrics that would have otherwise ended up in a landfill. In addition to, launching a recycling program called REfRecycling, which allows customers to send in their old clothes for repurposing, and partnering with Osomtex — a textile waste company that upcycles fabric scraps.
For the upcoming trunk show this weekend, Ref has partnered with toronto favourite, VSP consignment. Check out the collection this weekend at Yorkdale Shopping Centre located at 3401 Dufferin Street.
