The new Superman trailer has taken the crown for the most viewed trailer in Warner Bros History. Will the actual film live up to the hype?

December 21, 2024- According to Indy100, the teaser trailer now has 250 million views. Therefore, making it the most viewed in Warner Bros history at just over two minutes (here). Moreover, cast members include Rachel Brosnahan and David Corenswet as the two leads. The two lead actors will be playing Lois Lane and Clark Kent respectively. Additionally, the trailer also introduces Superman’s pet dog Krypto in his film debut.

According to The Nightly, Gunn spoke about the film’s themes in a virtual Q&A session. According to the filmmaker, “This movie is about Clark Kent’s humanities.  ”Yes, he’s an alien from another planet who’s super powerful, but he is also deeply, deeply human.” Gunn continued by saying “he has emotions and feelings, and every day he wakes up and tries to make the best choices he can, and sometimes he fails. That’s what this movie is about.”

As outlined in Indy100, Gunn took to X to express his gratitude to fans. For instance,  the filmmaker stated “This is because of all of you: thank you! We’re incredibly grateful and, most of all, excited to share this movie with you in July.”

In addition, this film will be a starting point for the new and improved DC Universe as opposed to the failed DC extended universe. Therefore, the film is a starting point in a cinematic universe that DC hopes will rival the Marvel Cinematic universe.
