Superman And Lois Have Been Cast

James Gunn announced David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan will play Superman and Lois Lane in the upcoming movie ‘Superman: Legacy’

Last year both Henry Cavill and Dwayne ‘The Rock‘ Johnson announced that Cavill would be reprising his role as Superman in upcoming DC films. Obviously that is not the case. We know now that at the time of that announcement Cavill had not even signed a contract with Warner Bros. Discovery to officially return; So despite Cavill and Johnson’s promises the news was nothing but hearsay.

But fear not Superman fans. The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that we have a new Superman and Lois Lane! This is not another rumor; the head of DC Studios, James Gunn, has confirmed that this is indeed true! Our new Superman is David Corenswet and our new Lois Lane is Rachel Brosnahan.

David Corenswet is a relatively unknown actor; which is traditional casting amongst Superman films. Rachel Brosnahan is a well-decorated actress who is most known for playing Miriam ‘Midge’ Maisel in the hit Amazon Prime show ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel‘.

Many actors were in the running for these roles. Over the past few months scoopers had been saying that Tom Brittney and Nicholas Holt were contenders for Superman, and Phoebe Dynevor and Emma Mackey were up for Lois Lane.
