Accoridng to this TikTok video posted by user @laurenisgossip, fans tried to cancel Sweeney recently after clips of this sponsored Bai post went viral.

Sydney Sweeney Littering
As mentioned in the video, fans thought Sweeney was littering during clips taken of a recent sponsored Bai post for a new drink. In the video, the drink is thrown to Sweeney in the water with the lid on. In the next clip, Sweeney can be seen drinking the beverage, and the lid is gone. This caused fans to accuse Sweeney of throwing the lid into the water, ultimately littering.

Sydney Sweeney Controversy
Fans basically started attacking her for polluting the water which caused Sweeney to post the below image to her Instagram stories, clearing up any controversy. In the post, you can see she’s holding the cap in her hand and did not drop it into the water.
