According to this TikTok video posted by user @stephwithdadeets, a Taylor Swift fan, reportedly named Ana Clara Benevides Machado, died right before the singer’s latest Eras Tour concert in Rio, Brazil.

Taylor Swift Fan Dies

As mentioned in the TikTok video, fans were seemingly complaining about high temperatures and lack of water at the venue. Benevides Machado, who was only 23 years old, lost her life before the show began. Swift posted an Instagram story mourning the death of Benevides Machado.

As mentioned here, Time4Fun, the organizer of the concert, released a statement to identify Benevides Machado and claim the following, as noted here, in the below translation:

“Last night, Ana Clara felt unwell and was promptly attended to by the team of firefighters and paramedics, being taken to the medical center at the Nilton Santos Stadium for first aid protocol. Given the situation, the medical team chose to transfer her to Salgado Filho Hospital, where, after almost an hour of emergency care, she unfortunately died. To the family and friends of Ana Clara Benevides Machado, our sincere condolences.”
