The Clinica recently opened its second location and it is hands down the best Toronto beauty clinic!

The Clinica is a a full-service med spa that offers an array of beauty treatments from skilled and knowledgeable professionals. With its second location opening at 2561 Yonge Street (between Lawrence Ave W and Eglinton Ave W), the aesthetic and ambiance is a breath of fresh air. The Clinica is located within a warm and spa-like space that offers tranquility the minute you step inside. I went to check it out last week and did my first microneedling session with incredible results!

The Clinica Consultation

The Clinica offers an assortment of beauty treatments and services to have you looking and feeling your best. Before getting started, they offer a consultation to customize a treatment plan for your skins specific needs. As we know, there is no one size fits all solution for skincare so I loved the idea of having someone attentively listen and address all of my concerns with the most impactful treatment plan.

My appointment started with a consultation that included me speaking about my concerns and then having my face scanned via a VISIA skin analysis. This machine may seem a little intimidating at first as it really does a deep dive into your skin conditions and uses UV photography to capture everything going on above and beneath the surface. The technology then provides an assessment of your skin that covers wrinkles, spots, texture, pores, UV spots, brown spots, red areas and porphyrins (bacteria).

Then based on this assessment you receive recommendation’s on how to improve the areas of the most concern with targeted treatments. While it may be a little scary at first to realize how much damage the sun has caused, knowledge is power! So I’m excited to see what my VISIA results will be upon completion of my treatment plan. We ended the consultation with my recommendation being the Miracle Cocktail and the SkinGlow treatment.

The Best Microneedling in Toronto

For today, I decided to try the Miracle Cocktail, which is a medical grade ‘Super Facial’ that utilizes microneedling and a personalized serum blend targeting my specific needs. The first step was applying a numbing cream on my face for 15 minutes and prepping an anti-aging blend to use with the microneedling.

The microneedling itself took about 30-40 minutes and was painless. It just felt like a bit of vibration on the skin and I actually really enjoyed the process. The microneedling device creates tiny microscopic openings in the skin that allow up to 300% more product absorption, while also activating the growth of new, healthy skin tissue. This is a great way to regenerate the skin and boost collagen production for a youthful, glowing appearance. My face was red after the session but by the next morning it was almost back to normal.

A couple of days after the session I experienced a bit of dryness but nothing a good hyaluronic acid serum and moisturizes couldn’t resolve. It has now been a week since the treatment and my skin is as smooth as a babies, more plump and glowing. It’s safe to say that I am obsessed and will be going back for two more sessions and a SkinGlow treatment in the coming months. (Check back here in 3 months for my before and after photos).
