Sustainable Sneakers
Sustainable sneakers are still going strong and we love to see it! From the Nike Space Hippie to the Yeezy Foam Runner, StockX customers across the globe have spent more than $10 million on sustainable footwear in 2020. In Canada, specifically, a much higher volume of sustainable sneakers hit the market resulting in sales jumping to 30x in Q1 of 2021.
Pastels
Calling all pastel-lovers – spring is your time to shine! The best performing pastel-coloured footwear on StockX is as follows:
- Sneakers – Pastel sneakers are the latest craze and they add the perfect pop of colour to any look! We particularly love the Adidas Forum Low Bad Bunny Pink Easter Egg sneakers. This past Easter, Bad Bunny was the No. 3 search term on StockX’s website and app on April 4, only outranked by “Jordan 1” and “Yeezy”.
- Accessories – From candy-coloured Prada bucket hats to spacious Telfar shopping bags, pastel accessories are a must-have for spring. This season, one of the most anticipated new releases is Virgil Abloh’s Men’s Watercolor Summer 2021 Collection from Louis Vuitton.
Crocs
Comfort has never looked better! Crocs have re-entered the market and are taking the footwear industry by storm with vibrant new colourways and fun pins to match.
According to StockX data, Crocs are up an incredible 400% in Canada. (Q1 2020 vs. Q1 2021) And, not surprisingly, the most coveted pairs include Justin Bieber Crocs, which have proven to be more popular than all other Crocs combined.
Slides
The demand for slides is growing across Canada, especially as we head into the spring season, with sales up 330% year-over-year. Our faves are the Yeezy Slides, which are selling at a premium over retail at 434% – 510%. They come in a variety of neutral shades and are super comfortable, which we love!
