August 25th, 2024 – TLC’s T-Boz was hospitalized before upcoming shows on the band’s tour.

TLC Tour 2024

TLC member T-Boz was hospitalized, causing the band to cancel New York and Connecticut shows. T-Boz, aka Tionne Watkins, thought she was suffering from food poisoning until things took a turn for the worse. The singer reported having severe abdominal pains that worsened over the weekend. Watkins was admitted to the hospital late Friday night before finding out on Saturday that she had an abdominal blockage instead of food poisoning.

Reports say Tionne Watkins was still in the hospital as of Saturday night. Doctors monitored her condition and performed a CT scan to determine the severity of the blockage. They expect her to be released sometime on Sunday. The band plans to reschedule the canceled shows and hopes the rest of the tour goes smoothly.

TLC has recently toured with fellow artists Shaggy, Sean Kingston, and the band En Vogue. The band, formerly a group of three, has been touring as a duo for many years. Along with T-Boz and Chilli, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopez was the third member of TLC. Unfortunately, in 2002, Left Eye was killed in a car accident in Honduras. The group, as well as fans, still remember Lisa for being a talented artist and kind-hearted person. While it did leave a hole in TLC, the girls say they could never replace Left Eye; she wasn’t just a bandmate but also a sister.
