Tom Felton Returns as Draco Malfoy in Broadway’s ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’
June 5, 2025: Tom Felton is set to reprise his iconic role as Draco Malfoy in the Broadway production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. This marks his first return to the character in nearly 15 years and his Broadway debut.
A Full-Circle Moment
Felton expressed deep emotional connection to returning to the role, calling it a “full-circle moment,” especially since he is now the same age as Draco in the play. He also confessed to crying when trying on Draco’s iconic platinum wig again.

Performance Details
Felton will join the cast at the Lyric Theatre in New York City for a 19-week run, starting November 11, 2025, and concluding on March 22, 2026. He will take over the role from Aaron Bartz.
“We start 19 years later,” Felton said Today.com. “Now we’re no longer children. We actually are the parents. So as much as it is reprising an old role for me, it’s very much treading into new, unfamiliar territory. I know him quite well as a kid. I don’t know him that well as an adult.
“It’s very, very easy to get emotional,” Felton continued. “When they put my blond wig on for the theater production, I just immediately cried. It was just sort of like a blast from the past.”
Ticket Information
Tickets for the show go on sale to the general public on June 12, with a presale beginning June 10. Fans interested in attending can access the presale by registering by June 9.
