Now & Then is a highly anticipated bilingual thriller series premiering exclusively on Apple TV+. 

On May 12th, Apple TV+ hosts a red carpet premiere ahead of the show’s worldwide debut and stars gathered in Cinemex Antara in Mexico City. Now & Then, which debuts on May 20th, is now available to stream exclusively on Apple TV+. 

The Growing Apple Original Titles

Apple Original series is undoubtedly growing. These past few months alone, Apple TV+ has announced or released original dramas like Slow Horses starring Academy Award winner Gary Oldman; Pachinko, a generational drama written by Soo Hugh; Echo 3, a new action-thriller from the mind of Academy Award-winning producer, Mark Boal. Lastly, the new release of bilingual thriller Now & Then is added to the dynamic roster of original drama from Apple TV+.

Now & Then: a multi-layered thriller

Now & Then is a bilingual thriller set in Miami and shot in both English and Spanish. The show is a “multi-layered thriller that explores the differences between youthful aspirations and the reality of adulthood.” It is set in two different timelines 20 years apart. The story is about a group of college best friends whose lives were changed after one weekend when a tragic accident ends up with one of them killed. In the official trailer, it shows that the group failed to take accountability and instead, left the scene of the crime. Fast forward 20 years later, the group attends a school reunion which ends up being a great setup for blackmail. Each member of the group receives a threatening text message implying that ‘they’ know what happened on that particular weekend 20 years ago. Obviously, the group was shaken because this threat could ruin their now successful lives. Together, they work closely to find the blackmailer and to stop this from further ruining their lives.

Now & Then Cast and Production

Now & Then stars Academy Award nominnes Marina de Tavira and Rosie Perez; Ariel Award winner José María Yazpik; Multi-Goya Award winner Maribel Verdú; Manolo Cardona; Goya Award winner Soledad Villamil; and Emmy Award winner Željko Ivanek. Jorge López, Alicia Jaziz, Dario Yazbek Bernal, Alicia Sanz, Jack Duarte, and Miranda de la Serna also completes the ensemble. 

The series is from the production of Bambu Producciones and from the creators Ramón Campos, and Gema R. Neira. Campos is the showrunner and also the writer of the series alongside Neira and their team. Teresa Fernández Valdés and Gideon Raff are executive producers, and Raff also directs.
