November 10, 2024 – The Grammy’s span numerous categories and most artists have received several nominations. Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift, and Chappell Roan are receiving six. Meanwhile, Post Malone, Charli XCX, Kendrick Lamar, and Billie Eilish are receiving seven. However, this is nothing compared to the Queen Bee of Pop herself. The Grammys are nominating Beyonce for eleven different categories with her country-inspired album Cowboy Carter. The pop idol has a total of 99 Grammy nominations spanning her career, which is the most for any artist ever.
2025 Grammy Submissions
Notable submissions for Album Of The Year include Sabrina Carpenters’s Short and Sweet, Charlie XCX’s Brat, Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter, and Billie Eillish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft. Other submissions include Chappell Roans’s The Rise And Fall Of The Midwest Princess and Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department.
Another heavily debated category is the best new artist, with Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan being the two leading artists competing in this category. Despite both artists not being new to the music scene, they both only had a number-one hit on the Billboard charts this year. However, both artists have had a significant impact on pop culture over the past year. In fact, Chappell Roan states that both artists lean on each other to deal with the hard parts of rising to fame. Roan, who has called fans out for their creepy behavior, had this to say. “We’re both going through something so f–king hard,” Roan told Rolling Stone. “It was just good to know someone else feels that else feels this way.”
Brat Summer Meaning
However, it is arguably Charlie XCX who has had the most influence. Her iconic album Brat has had a significant impact on pop culture, politics, and fashion, and the term Brat Summer is being used to describe its impact. Some notable nominations include Best Dance Pop Recording for Von Dutch and Best Pop Duo Performance for her remix of Guess with Billie Eilish.
