You can often recognize English alt-pop duo Oh Wonder’s vocals from the moment they ring in your ears. Known for their mirroring harmonies and electronic-pop melodies, they’ve been captivating fans since their 2015 debut.

Since then, they’ve garnered millions of streams, received radio play all over England, and sold out shows in major cities like Paris, London, and New York. Their influence has gone on to impact a wide range of artists in and around the same genre.

If you’re a fan of this duo and are looking to expand your musical repertoire, then this article is for you. We’ve put together a list of three artists that we think you’ll like if you listen to Oh Wonder.

Lila Drew

It’s rare that a 22-year-old has the kind of clarity and insight that Lila Drew presents to listeners, but it could explain why at such a young age, she’s already making a name for herself in the industry. She lists artists like Taylor Swift and Frank Ocean as songwriting inspirations, which could explain the introspection and melodic vocals found in her first full-length album, All the Places I Could Be.

With a coming-of-age narrative mixed with laid-back, late night vibes, Drew’s music is ever-evolving, and she seems ready to bring fans along for the ride. Back in 2022, she toured with Oh Wonder across Europe as an opening act, giving new listeners a taste of what was to come with her full-length release. If you’re a fan of Oh Wonder’s dynamic sound, you should definitely check out Lila Drew.

BROODS

Broods is another alt-pop duo made up of members Georgia Nott and Caleb Nott. Their debut, Evergreen, was released in 2010 and featured a darker electro-pop sound that fared well with fans and earned a platinum-certified single, “Mother & Father.”

As siblings, Georgia and Caleb grew up surrounded by music and began playing together as kids. Around 2011, they formed Broods and began working with producer Joel Little, who previously worked with Lorde, and released their first single, “Bridges,” in 2013.

Since that time, the duo has released four albums and has gone on to tour internationally and collaborate with artists like Troye Sivan and Tove Lo. Their captivating songwriting and seamless harmonies are sure to win over Oh Wonder fans.

Ryn Weaver

American singer-songwriter Ryn Weaver started her entertainment dreams in the acting world until she left NYU to move to California to pursue a music career. During that time, she met famous producer Benny Blanco, and she pitched her SoundCloud account at his birthday party — not long after, she was signed to Interscope Records and released her debut single, OctaHate, in June of 2014. The song garnered significant popularity and was co-written by Blanco, Charli XCX, Michael Angelakos (of Passion Pit), and Cashmere Cat.

Her debut EP Promises soon followed the release of the single, and her debut LP The Fool followed just a year later. With musical influences like Joni Mitchell, Tori Amos, and David Bowie, Weaver’s eclectic indie-pop sound is a great addition to fans who appreciate the melodies and songwriting from bands like Oh Wonder.
