In honour of today being the 20th of April, we’ve compiled a list of our favourite comedies to watch today on Netflix.

Pineapple Express

The best part of these movies? Most definitely the awkward friendships that usually exist in these classics; so, if you’re still looking for something to get your buddies, why not pick up something from our Cannabis Gift Guide and then spend some time together watching one (or many) of these movies–the holidays are the perfect time to spend with the ones we love… while eating all of the holiday leftovers and baked goodies, while… well.. being baked yourself.

2. Superbad

It’s the end of high school for Evan and Seth and these two nerdy childhood best friends have always been part of the “out” crowd. Of the two of them, Seth acts as the leader, with all the talk and no action, and Evan acts as his faithful follower. When Seth–and by extension, Evan–gets invited to the popular and pretty girl’s house party, Seth offers to buy all the booze using the fake ID their friend Fogell is planning on getting them. Trying to be the “king” of the party, Seth believes this is the ticket to them losing their respective virginities, but not all plans go accordingly.

4. The Do-Over

Ever want a life do-over? Well, Max (Adam Sandler) and Charlie (David Spade) most certainly do. These two down-on-their-luck guys want it so badly that they decide to fake their own deaths and start over. After securing two new identities, it’s time to find out if their old mundane lives were really that bad, or is their new lives will only lead them into even deeper trouble.

6. Dazed and Confused

High school is coming to an end for the upperclassmen and that means it’s time to haze the incoming freshmen and celebrate at the end-of-the-year kegger. With the exception of the star football player Randall “Pink” Floyd–who along with all his teammates signed a pledge from their coach to not drink or do drugs before the big game–everyone is getting rowdy and joining in on the festivities. This coming of age cult classic film follows the jocks, stoners, and geeks and the mayhem that ensues as they wrap up the school year.

7. That ‘70s Show (TV Show)

Although That 70s Show is not a movie, this stoner classic deserves a spot on the list because, well, it’s classic. The sitcom follows Eric and his group of stoner friends as they stumble through this tumultuous phase of adolescence and high school.

8. Step Brothers

This movie may not necessarily have to do with stoners but is deserving of a spot on our list because it’s arguably one of the best movies to watch while high. Two middle aged, unemployed, failure-to-launch overgrown boys’ lives are turned upside down when their parents marry and move in together. Forced to live with each other as step brothers, Brennan Huff (Will Ferrell) and Dale Doback (John C. Reilly) cause a riff in their parents’ marriage with their rivalry, immaturity, and instant hatred of each other. Eventually, the two realize what they’ve done and work together to hatch a plan to reunite their parents.
