Transcen|Dance Project’s immersive theatre is officially making a comeback this January.

After previously having to postpone their much-anticipated show: A Grimm Night, it will now resume at The Great Hall in 2022.

The world premiere of A Grimm Night stars legendary prima ballerina and Canadian Walk of Fame inductee, Evelyn Hart, who at 65 years old is making a return to live performances.

Inspired by the Brothers Grimm stories, A Grimm Night will welcome guests for an evening full of dark glamour, set free to discover the dark magic of the most sacred of childhood fairy tales. This experience favours the bold, the curious; so guests are encouraged to muster up courage as they investigate, explore and uncover the fantastical, the shocking and the unexpected.

Produced by Artistic Director, Julia Cratchley, the mastermind behind Toronto’s contemporary dance theatre company Transcen|Dance Project. An illustrious cast of 11, including legendary Canadian ballerina, Evelyn Hart.

Transcen|Dance Project is a Toronto-based company looking to stretch the boundaries within the Toronto dance community and create a new environment for audiences to experience art and live performance. Founded in 2015 by former Canadian dancer, Julia Cratchley, who trained as a contemporary dancer at the illustrious Arts Umbrella in Vancouver and danced as a freelance dancer across North America.

Following the sold-out run of Eve of St.George in 2018 and 2019, and then having to postpone A Grimm Night in May 2020, Artistic Director of Transcen|Dance Project, Julia Cratchley, is looking forward to re-entering the world of live theatre.

Opening night is on January 21st at 7:30 pm at The Great Hall, 1087 Queen St West, Toronto, Ontario.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here.
