Fans allegedly want to see Ariana Grande and Paul Mescal as leads in a live-action Hercules movie.

December 10, 2024– Now that Wicked has made its formal debut alongside Gladiator 2, fans allegedly want to see stars Ariana Grande and Paul Mescal star in a new film together.
According to this viral TikTok video posted by user @beenthinkingboutyou, fans have taken to social media to allegedly fan-cast Grande as Megara and Mescal as Hercules in a live-action film of the popular animation.

The pair have been popular in the press recently following the debut of their respective films, Gladiator 2 and Wicked, in which they have deemed the launch of both films on November 22, 2024, as “Glicked.”
The duo even participated in Variety’s Actors on Actors segment recently, which sparked talks online about the pair hopefully being cast in an upcoming project together.

Grande previously went viral for singing “I Won’t Say I’m In Love” from Hercules during Disney’s Family Singalong back in 2020. In fact, as outlined in this article from Toonado, a petition requesting that Grande play Megara in a live-action remake of Hercules had garnered over 11,000 signatures at the time.
Susan Egan, the voice actress who played Megara in the original film has seemingly endorsed Grande as Megara. “Couldn’t be more perfect! Ariana Grande is the greatest thing since the pocket in pita!” she said in a viral post online following Grande’s performance during Disney’s Family Singalong.
Mescal also sings in real life. Fans recently saw him perform on SNL.
This could just be a match made in heaven for the duo.
Hercules Live Action Cast
Disney is reportedly officially moving forward with a remake of the classic film, this time with a live-action twist. However, as noted in this article from IMDb, the film allegedly went through an overhaul and will now play out from the perspective of Hades. This remains unconfirmed but this is the latest rumor.
