September 11th, 2024 – Bad Bunny has a role in Happy Gilmore 2.
Happy Gilmore Sequel
Bad Bunny will reportedly appear in the Happy Gilmore sequel. The film will follow the 1996 classic about a wannabe professional hockey player who begrudgingly becomes a golf sensation. Bad Bunny will act alongside Adam Sandler, who will return in the title role. Julie Bowen will also return as Virginia Venit, and Christopher McDonald will reprise his role as Shooter McGavin from the OG movie.
It seems that production for the film is already in full swing. On Monday, Sandler posted an IG picture of a hockey jersey. He captioned the photo, “It ain’t over. The way I see it… we’ve only just begun,” hinting at his character’s return.
The plot details of the sequel are still unknown, and Bad Bunny’s role is also under wraps. However, Bad Bunny has already shared his acting skills with the world. He starred alongside Brad Pitt in “Bullet Train” and has been landing other roles in Hollywood. The sequel was confirmed in May 2024; Netflix shared that Sandler was expected to reprise his role. Three months later, Sandler confirmed the news and shared that Travis Kelce and some other celebrity cameos would also be joining him in the film. Furthermore, the film currently doesn’t have a release date.
