Last week, Cardi B threw her microphone at a concertgoer during her show in Las Vegas. The incident was caught on video and sparked controversy as people expressed dissatisfaction with the singer’s behavior.

Cardi B, real name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, was singing her Bodak Yellow hit when a person in the crowd threw their drink on her. As the act surprised Cardi, she responded by hitting the concertgoer with her mic. Following the incident, an investigation was started by the Las Vegas police.

Cardi B Battery Charge

According to this article, Cardi B is now under investigation for battery. 

“According to the victim, she was attending an event on July 29. During a concert, she was struck by an item that was thrown from the stage. The incident has been documented on a police report, and no arrest or citations have been issued,” the Las Vegas police told the New York Post, even though they did not mention the rapper’s name in their statement. 

TMZ noted that the microphone hit not only the thrower but also the person standing next to them. According to the outlet, the person who reported the incident was the latter.

The news outlets also noted that prior to the incident, the rapper told the crowd to throw water on her to cool her down.

Who Is Cardi B Husband?

Following the viral incident, Cardi B’s husband, Offset, addressed another popular topic about the singer. Earlier this year, Offset accused his wife of cheating on him via a since-deleted Instagram story. However, according to this source, the man recently confessed that Cardi B had not cheated on him and admitted he was drunk when he made the allegations.
