Britney Spears and Husband Sam Asghari reportedly divorcing

Sources have reported to TMZ that Britney Spears and her husband Sam Asghari have separated. The source explained to TMZ Wednesday that a week ago, Asghari confronted Spears on her cheating rumors which he had believed, although it has not been confirmed. TMZ explains that the discussion led to a big argument and as a result, Sam has left their house and is living at a place without her. The insider told TMZ, “It’s only a matter of time before Sam files for divorce.”

Spears and Asghari tied the knot on June 9, 2022, and have a history of dating since 2016 when they met on one of Spears’ music video sets.  Around their one-year anniversary, the two had reportedly been in “deep trouble” for months. TMZ revealed that Sam wasn’t staying over at their home much and that during their “frequent screaming matches”, Britney would get physical with Sam. Prior to their first wedding anniversary, the couple was also seen on multiple occasions without their wedding rings. This led to speculations of marriage issues, but Entertainment Tonight revealed that Sam’s rep had told them, “Sam is not having marital issues. He simply took off his ring because he is filming a movie.”

If this news is accurate about their separation and potential divorce, Britney will be protected as a source had told Page Six that “Britney and Sam signed a prenup in her favor. Any money she made before the wedding is protected.”
