Despite Dolly’s fame, Dean was a private person who did not enjoy the spotlight. In addition, the couple never had children and kept their personal life private. However, Dolly has always been vocal about her love for her late husband. In an interview last year, Dolly attributed the longevity of their relationship to his sense of humor.

“He has a good sense of humor, as do I, and I think that has been a big key to us, because we’ve had a lot of fun and when things get really bad, because we’ve had a lot of fun and when things get really bad,” said Dolly.
