Emmy and Sam’s Relationship Timeline
Emmy Rossum and Sam Esmail met on the set of the 2014 film “Comet,” which Esmail wrote and directed. They began dating soon after and got engaged in August 2015.

The couple tied the knot in May 2017 in a ceremony in New York City. Rossum is an American actress known for her roles in “Shameless” and “The Phantom of the Opera,” while Esmail is a writer and director best known for creating the television series “Mr. Robot.”
The couple has been known to collaborate on creative projects, with Esmail directing several episodes of “Shameless” and Rossum directing an episode of “Mr. Robot.”
