Founders of the fan-favourite Pi Co have created a first of its kind direct-to-consumer cookie concept to make high-end artisan baked cookies accessible for people across the GTA: SOS Treats.
Following a successful five years growing Pi Co. – which now includes over 20 locations with continued expansion across Canada – founders Marc Askenasi and Sam Hazan took the last eighteen months of living through COVID-19 to uncover new opportunities in the marketplace beyond pizza.
As of September 27, these founders of the Toronto-based QSR chain Pi Co. have officially launched their new virtual direct-to-consumer cookie concept SOS TREATS in order to democratize the cookie for all GTA dwellers!
“Living at opposite ends of the city, there were a number of amazing artisanal restaurants and bakeshops that each of us would want to order from but the other couldn’t because they were outside of the delivery radius,” states Askenasi. “We quickly realized that there was a massive gap (both literally and figuratively) for a great fun brand, with high-end artisanal baked cookies that could be ordered ubiquitously across the GTA and delivered ASAP.”
Menu items feature a variety of artisanal stuffed and gluten-free options, sold in packs of 6, 12 or 24 for same-day delivery or via a first of its kind monthly cookie subscription service to appease all tastes and diets. While the cookie dough is made from scratch out of the SOS TREATS Central Kitchen in Vaughn, the dough is baked on-site at various satellite locations daily, enabling SOS TREATS to maintain the highest quality and consistency every day.
Customers located in GTA can place their order via the SOS TREATS online ordering page or the mobile app, both of which offer rapid delivery, loyalty points and rewards. Alternatively, customers can order through same-day delivery services including UberEats, Doordash and Skip the Dishes.
