The reason for this is Chris Brown’s extremely controversial past. In 2009, singer Chris Brown was arrested and charged with felony assault of his then–girlfriend, singer Rihanna. The two had been in a relationship for about a year, but the incident on the night of the Grammy Awards resulted in Rihanna being hospitalized with facial injuries. Brown pled guilty to the charges and was sentenced to five years of probation and community service.

Although there are a lot of hate tweets being sent her way, there is a great division between the fans who are upset and fans who are standing up for Bailey claiming, ‘It’s time to move on.’ These fans are trying to ‘give her a break’ since she and her sisters names have been in the media frequently recently.
Halle Bailey and her boyfriend, DDG, were the hot topic a few weeks ago once rumours of a possible split arose. Fans of his have been giving the singer and her sister some grief over the whole situation. It has still not been confirmed whether the two have called it quits.
