Select Wines has officially launched 1924 Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon in Canada, bringing Ontarians a bold, Bourbon Barrel-Aged Cabernet Sauvignon inspired by wine’s storied past.

Prohibition is known as one of the darkest times in history for wine, with the rebellion that followed changing cocktail culture to the core. This era shaped the years to come, creating a space for rebels to thrive. Sipping on a glass of 1924 Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon opens up a portal to this very time. Now on LCBO shelves, this is a smooth, inviting, bold wine that raises a glass to the rebels who sipped in secret.

Bringing together these two once-forbidden favourites – bourbon and wine, the 1924 Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon is a refreshingly different experience from your typical Cabernet.

Crafted from the Delicato Family Wines estate vineyards in Lodi, California, a portion of this wine is aged in Bourbon Barrels for more than two months, giving it a unique, bold flavour. Offering a story with every sip, 1924’s Bourbon Barrel-aged Cabernet Sauvignon is inspired by wine’s storied past, and a tribute to the year the founders of Delicato Family Wines first planted grapes in Manteca, San Joaquin County, in the Central Valley of California.

With notes of blackberry, blackcurrant and warm spices, this Cabernet Sauvignon is very smooth on the palate and easy to love. The touches of butterscotch, brown sugar and toasted oak lends the wine perfectly to enjoy either on its own, or be mixed in a cocktail.
