Russell Brand has left the United Kingdom due to sexual assault allegations. The comedian stated that he is being attacked by the U.K. media and government.

As outlined in The Hollywood Reporter, Brand has allegedly moved his family to Florida before the U.S. election last year. However, this would have happened when the Metropolitan Police passed their file on Brand onto prosecutors. Specifically, the file included sexual assault allegations against the comedian. These accusations have been a major talking point in the U.K. media, which led the former comedian to defend himself on social media.

“I don’t live in the United Kingdom any more because I personally have experienced how the media, government and judiciary — if you suddenly become an inconvenience — will find ways to attack and shut you down,” Brand said on his Rumble account.
