During the Sunday episode of Running Wild With Bear Grylls: The Challenge, Russell Brand spoke about his “chaotic” marriage with ex-wife Katy Perry.

“Aside from my, like, sort of feelings of affection for Katy, it’s a time that I remember as being a little bit chaotic and a bit, for me, I’ll speak for myself, a little disconnected,” the comedian revealed. However, their relationship had also good sides that Brand did not leave out. “Some aspects of it were, like, amazing,” he continued. “She’s an amazing person, and it was kind of incredible to live for a moment in that ‘eye of the cyclone’ type aspect of fame,” Russell added.

How long were Russell and Katy together?

“When he was filming Get Him to the Greek, I did a cameo with him. My scene called for me to make out with him. And on the way down the stairs after the scene, I was hopping like a bunny. I hop like a bunny when I’m happy — I get a bit childlike. He gives me the Christmas Eve jitters.” Perry confessed about the time they met, as noted here.

The two got engaged in January 2010 but called it quits shortly after, in December 2011.

“Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I’ll always adore her and I know we’ll remain friends.” Russell announced back then, as noted by the same source.

In 2017, the actor married Laura Gallacher, whom he met ten years before. They now share two children.
